Kirk's IR-return tag means he must sit out at least the first four games before he's eligible to play. That's a notable delay for a receiver who managed just 28 catches, 239 yards and one touchdown across 13 games last season (2025), good for 58 PPR points and a WR97 rank in our current board.
The 49ers also confirmed defensive lineman Mykel Williams stays on PUP as he recovers from last season's torn ACL. Guerendo joins him on the shelf, which thins San Francisco's backfield depth for the opening stretch of the schedule.
