The Bengals announced Saturday that cornerback Ceyair Wright, 23, was leaving the team to pursue other opportunities — and per multiple reports, that opportunity is a lead role in a film.

Cincinnati didn't waste time filling the spot, signing former Cincinnati Bearcat corner Matthew McDoom, another undrafted rookie, to take Wright's place. Head coach Zac Taylor said Wright told him about the decision Friday night, framing it as two passions of his colliding at the same moment.

If the name sounds familiar, it's because Wright already has a Hollywood résumé. He played Bronny James — LeBron's son and current Lakers guard — in "Space Jam: A New Legacy," and he's balanced acting with football since high school. His college path ran through USC and two years at Nebraska, where he earned honorable-mention All-Big Ten honors in 2025.

Why This Isn't as Crazy as It Sounds

Undrafted rookies face brutal odds. A camp corner buried on the depth chart in Cincinnati was always a long shot to survive final cuts and reach the 53-man roster, let alone carve out a real career.
