Breece Hall Stays Week-to-Week With Quad, Opening the Door for Braelon Allen
Hall (quad) and Adonai Mitchell (finger) both skipped Wednesday's practice, and Braelon Allen just handled all 14 backfield carries in Week 4.

Lead back while Hall is out, with full backfield workload confirmed.
- Hall injured quad in Week 3 vs. Lions, exited Q4
- Allen: 14 carries, 59 yards in Week 4 vs. Bears
- Hall is our RB19 (overall #58), 43 PPR pts in 2026
- Mitchell (finger) missed Wednesday, still week-to-week
- Mason Taylor (thumb) returned to practice Wednesday
The Jets backfield still runs through Braelon Allen for now. Head coach Aaron Glenn confirmed Breece Hall (quad) and Adonai Mitchell (finger) didn't practice Wednesday and remain week-to-week, meaning both are trending toward a second straight missed game. Hall picked up the quad injury in Week 3 against the Lions, exiting in the fourth quarter.
With Hall sidelined in Week 4, Allen soaked up every backfield touch against the Bears, grinding out 59 yards on 14 carries. That's the number that matters for fantasy managers: a clean, undisputed workload. Hall entered the week as our RB19 (overall #58) after piling up 43 PPR points across three games this season (2026), so his absence is a meaningful loss.
The Backfield Picture
Allen is unranked in our model but has already produced 26 PPR points across four games this season (2026), and his role just expanded dramatically. A lead back getting 14-plus carries behind a committed run game is exactly the profile you want to grab off waivers before your leaguemates wake up. The usage is real, not projected.
Mitchell, meanwhile, is a tougher hold. He's our WR72 (overall #218) and has just 9 catches for 123 yards and no touchdowns through two games this season (2026). The finger injury keeping him week-to-week makes him a bench stash at best in deeper formats.
Everyone Else
There's some good news on the return front. Rookie tight end Mason Taylor (thumb) and edge rusher Rashad Enagbare (knee) both practiced Wednesday after sitting out Week 4. Taylor, our TE31 (overall #221), has been invisible so far — 2 catches for -2 yards and 2 PPR points over two games this season (2026) — so his return matters more for real football than fantasy. The team also opened wideout Tim Patrick's 21-day practice window off injured reserve.
The move is clear: if Allen is somehow still available in your league, add him now and start him with confidence while Hall heals. Hold Hall if you have the roster space and a usable bench — he's a clear RB2-plus the moment he's cleared, so don't dump him for a one-week streamer. Leave Mitchell and Taylor on the wire outside of the deepest formats until they're actually playing.
