Zach Charbonnet

Our RB2 returns to a close, high-volume home game.

Key numbers
  • Charbonnet: our #2 overall RB, 179 PPR pts in 2025
  • Last 5 games: +3.2 fantasy pts vs season average
  • Seahawks 2.5-point home favorites, total 42.5
  • Walker leads NFL at 133 rush yds/game, 8 TDs
  • Chiefs enter 5-0; Seattle's 3 losses by 3 or fewer

Zach Charbonnet is expected back for Sunday Night Football against Kansas City, and that's the line fantasy managers should circle before kickoff at 8:20 p.m. ET at Lumen Field. The Seahawks back ranks #2 overall in our model and racked up 179 PPR points across 16 games last season (2025), including 12 rushing touchdowns. His return doesn't just help Seattle's offense — it takes real pressure off Sam Darnold in what everyone expects to be a tight game.

The matchup context is juicy. Seattle has lost three times already, all by three points or fewer, including last week against Denver on a short week. Kansas City, meanwhile, is 5-0 after a rough 2025, riding a two-game run over the Raiders and Chargers. The Seahawks are 2.5-point home favorites with the over/under sitting at 42.5.

The Walker Subplot

There's a revenge-game wrinkle here too. Chiefs running back Kenneth Walker, who used to wear Seattle's uniform, torched the Chargers for 128 yards and two scores last week. He now leads the NFL in rushing at 133 yards per game with eight total touchdowns on the year. If you've got Walker, you're starting him regardless of the opponent — the volume and the hot hand are undeniable.

Seattle's Pass-Catchers

Jaxon Smith-Njigba remains the engine of this passing attack and our #4 overall player, having already piled up 49 catches for 717 yards and seven touchdowns through six games in 2026 — good for 165 PPR points. He's a locked-in WR1 every week. Behind him, Cooper Kupp has quietly settled into the WR2 role with 16 grabs for 179 yards and a touchdown (40 PPR points over six games in 2026), coming off a season-best five-catch, 50-yard outing.

The catch with Kupp: our model projects him for just 33 receiving yards in this one, and he sits at #194 overall, #65 at the position. In a close script with plenty of possessions, he'll see chances, but his floor-and-ceiling profile makes him a volatile flex at best.

Fantasy bottom line: start Charbonnet with confidence as he rejoins a favorable home spot — our RB2 ranking and his +3.2 fantasy points over the season average across his last five games say he's trending up. Smith-Njigba is an every-week WR1 lock, and Walker is a must-start on the other side. Kupp is a boom-or-bust flex you can live with in deeper PPR leagues, but temper expectations given that 33-yard projection.
