Chiefs Stash International TE Odukoya, Cut Oladokun From IR
Kansas City added Amsterdam-born tight end Odukoya to the practice squad while settling with three injured players, including QB Chris Oladokun.

The Chiefs shuffled the back end of their roster this week, adding Amsterdam-born tight end Godwin Odukoya to the practice squad under an international player exemption. That exemption lets Kansas City carry a 17th man on the unit — a spot the club filled the past three years with tackle Chu Godrick before the Dolphins claimed him off waivers earlier this week. Godrick had appeared in four games last season.
Odukoya isn't a household name, and he isn't going to become one from a practice-squad stash. He played at two junior colleges before spending four seasons at Eastern Michigan, then latched on with the Titans in 2022 as an International Pathway Player. His NFL résumé to date: two career games.
The bigger fantasy-adjacent news came Friday, when the Chiefs reached injury settlements with three players cut during Sunday's final roster reductions — quarterback Chris Oladokun, guard CJ Hanson and running back EJ Smith. All three were waived off Kansas City's Reserve/Injured list.
Here's the mechanism: players with fewer than four accrued seasons who are cut while injured revert to their team's IR if they clear waivers. A settlement is essentially a negotiated buyout — the team pays a prorated slice of base salary to cover the estimated recovery window, and the player is free to walk once that clock runs out.
What It Means For Fantasy
For redraft and dynasty managers, this is housekeeping, not a headline. Oladokun is the only name here with any fantasy footprint at all, and it's a faint one: 235 passing yards, one touchdown and no picks across three appearances in 2025, good for 13 PPR points on the season. That's a QB3 body in a Patrick Mahomes offense, not a stash.
Once each settlement expires, Oladokun, Hanson and Smith can sign with any of the other 31 teams — but a reunion with Kansas City is barred for an additional three weeks beyond that. In other words, none of them is helping your lineup any time soon.
The move to note: nothing to add here. Drop Oladokun if he's somehow lingering on a deep-league bench, and treat Odukoya as a name to file away rather than a target. Neither belongs on a fantasy roster today.
