Chris Jones, Mansoor Delane Questionable vs. Colts With Calf, Shoulder
Jones was limited all week with a calf issue while Delane's shoulder kept him off full practice. Two IDP names to track before kickoff.

Calf has him questionable — confirm active before locking IDP lineups.
- Jones limited in practice all week (calf)
- Delane hurt shoulder in Monday's win over Denver
- Delane went full Thursday, back to limited to close week
- Josh Simmons (back) out for second straight week
- Rookie Kahlil Benson starts again at left tackle
Two Chiefs defenders carry question marks into the home date with the Colts. Defensive tackle Chris Jones is questionable after a calf injury kept him limited in practice all week, and cornerback Mansoor Delane got the same tag following a shoulder problem picked up in Monday night's win over the Broncos.
Delane's week tells the story of a body that isn't quite right. He climbed all the way up to full participation on Thursday, then slid back to limited to finish the week — the kind of yo-yo that usually points to a game-time call. Jones, meanwhile, never got past limited, which is worth noting for a player who anchors this front.
The Chiefs are also down two starters they've already been without. Left tackle Josh Simmons (back) and defensive back Chamarri Conner (knee) were both ruled out for the second straight week. Rookie Kahlil Benson slots in at left tackle again, so the pass protection remains a work in progress.
What It Means For IDP
Jones is the name that moves the needle in deeper IDP leagues. A calf issue for an interior rusher isn't nothing — burst off the snap lives in that muscle, and a hobbled Jones is a diminished Jones even if he suits up. If you've got the roster flexibility, have a backup ready rather than betting on a clean workload.
Delane is a fringe play in all but the deepest defensive-back formats, so the shoulder is more of a monitoring item than a lineup crisis. The Simmons and Conner absences don't carry direct fantasy weight, but the shaky protection matters if you're rostering any Chiefs skill players against Indianapolis.
Bottom line: don't panic, but don't set it and forget it either. Watch the Friday-to-Sunday reports on Jones, keep a contingency plan warm, and treat Delane as a wait-and-see. Neither injury is season-altering on the information we have — the risk is a surprise inactive that torpedoes your Sunday if you're not paying attention.
