Achane led the league in yards per carry last season at 5.7 and sits second all-time at 5.62 over his career (minimum 500 carries). In a tanking ecosystem, that's not a red flag — that's a workload guarantee.
Why The Matchup Cooks
The Week 1 opponent makes the case louder. The Raiders whiffed on 27.9% of their tackle attempts in 2025, the second-worst mark in the league. The volume is locked in, the matchup is soft, and a bad team funneling everything through its best player is exactly the archetype you want in your lineup. If a nervous manager in your league is buying the 'tanking = avoid' narrative, that's your window to buy low on the receiving upside too.
