George Pickens Limited With Shoulder Injury as Cowboys Practice Thins Out
Pickens, the WR20 in our rankings with 82 PPR points through six games, popped up limited Thursday with a shoulder issue.

Limited practice, no missed time yet — he's a WR2 start if he suits up.
- Pickens limited Thursday with shoulder injury
- WR20 in our rankings, 82 PPR pts in 6 games
- Last 5 games: +1.6 fantasy pts vs season avg
- Turpin (ribs) sat out entirely Thursday
- Von Miller rested; Joey Porter Jr. (ankle) full
George Pickens showed up as a limited participant at Thursday's Cowboys practice with a shoulder injury, a note fantasy managers will want to keep an eye on heading into the weekend. Pickens is our WR20 (No. 65 overall) and has banked 82 PPR points across six games this season (2026), with 33 catches for 428 yards and a touchdown.
Limited is the key word here. He practiced, which is a far better sign than a DNP, and there's been no indication he's in danger of missing the game. His last five outings have run +1.6 fantasy points above his season average, so the arrow was pointing up before this popped on the report.
He wasn't the only Cowboy banged up. Cornerback Cobie Durant (hamstring), left tackle Tyler Guyton (calf) and outside linebacker Marist Liufau (forearm) were all limited alongside him.
Who Sat Entirely
Dallas held several bodies out completely. Von Miller got a rest day, while offensive tackle Drew Shelton (hamstring), linebacker Dee Winters (calf) and — relevant for the fantasy crowd — wide receiver KaVontae Turpin (ribs) didn't practice. Turpin is only our WR120 with 15 PPR points on the year (2026), so his absence barely moves the needle unless you're in a deep league.
On the brighter side, safety Alijah Clark (hamstring), linebacker DeMarvion Overshown (hamstring) and cornerback Ameer Speed (knee) were full goes. The team also had to issue a correction after the fact, admitting it accidentally left cornerback Joey Porter Jr. (ankle) off the report entirely — he was a full participant.
The Fantasy Call
For now, don't panic. A limited Thursday with a shoulder issue is a monitor-the-Friday-report situation, not a bench-him-blindly one. If Pickens practices again Friday and carries nothing worse than a questionable tag, slot him in as the WR2 his usage warrants. Just have a contingency plan ready in case the shoulder flares up, and keep tabs on the final injury designation before you lock lineups.
