One good game, but a tough Patriots D makes him a risky Week stream.

Key numbers
  • 97 PPR points through 6 games in 2026
  • QB58 overall, QB21 at the position in our rankings
  • 4 pass TD, 0 INT and 3 rush TD on the year
  • Patriots rank 9th in scoring defense (20.4 PPG)
  • 223 rushing yards gives him a real floor

Malik Willis just put together the best game of his Dolphins tenure, and the league noticed — Miami's quarterback picked up a FedEx Air & Ground Player of the Week nomination off the back of it. That's a nice line on the résumé for a guy who sits at QB58 overall and QB21 at the position in our rankings, with 97 PPR points through six games in 2026 (actual).

The dual-threat profile is what makes him interesting. Willis has thrown for 1,057 yards with 4 touchdowns and zero interceptions this season, and the rushing floor is real: 223 yards and 3 scores on the ground. For streaming purposes, a quarterback who runs is always worth a second look, because the legs cover for quiet passing nights.

The Matchup Problem

Here's where the enthusiasm gets complicated. Miami hosts New England on Sunday at Hard Rock Stadium, and the Patriots are not a soft landing spot. Their defense ranks 10th in yards allowed per game (315.7) and 9th in scoring at 20.4 points per game. That's a legitimate test for a QB who's strung together exactly one standout performance.

The counterpoint — and it's a fair one — is that the Jets' defense walked into last weekend ranked 5th in total yards and 5th in points allowed, and Willis carved them up anyway. Defensive rankings are a snapshot, not a prophecy. If the rushing usage stays, the matchup matters a little less than the box score suggests.

The Fantasy Call

For now, treat Willis as a watch-list name rather than a confident plug-and-play. The zero-interception discipline and the rushing production give him a sneaky-high floor, but one big week against a hot-and-cold Jets unit isn't enough to trust him as a QB1 against a top-10 Patriots scoring defense. If you're in a two-QB or superflex league and desperate, he's a defensible dart throw. In standard single-QB formats, let him prove it again before you move him off the wire.
