Ankle limited him to two snaps; monitor Monday's practice before cutdowns.

Key numbers
  • Savion Williams played just 2 offensive snaps (ankle)
  • Cornerback Brandon Cisse held out as precaution (knee)
  • Warren Brinson scratched in warmups with calf injury
  • All 5 injured were projected for GB's 53-man roster
  • Williams: 26 PPR pts over 12 games in 2025

Green Bay walked out of Friday's preseason win over Denver with a victory and a growing training-room line. Five players got dinged up, and while none of the injuries scream long-term, the timing matters: we had all five making the Packers' initial 53-man roster in our latest projection, so any lingering issue muddies the cutdown math.

The name fantasy managers care about most is receiver Savion Williams, who logged just two offensive snaps — both with the first team — before an ankle problem shut him down. Williams put up 26 PPR points across 12 games last season (2025), so this was never a fantasy centerpiece, but the snap count with the starters is worth filing away for anyone tracking his deep-league upside.

The rest of the list is a mix of caution and bad luck. Cornerback Brandon Cisse tweaked his knee on special teams between defensive series and called it nothing serious afterward; his benching was described as mostly precautionary. Edge rusher Collin Oliver (calf) managed six defensive snaps and seven on special teams, while receiver J. Michael Sturdivant was evaluated for a concussion with no confirmed diagnosis yet.

Then there's the warmup casualty. Defensive lineman Warren Brinson strained his calf pregame, which explains why he didn't take a single snap yet wasn't listed as a scratch. His absence had a ripple effect: DT Devonte Wyatt, originally on the inactive list, ended up starting and playing four snaps only because Brinson went down.

The Reed Note

One name on the missing list isn't an injury at all. Receiver Jayden Reed sat out for a personal matter — reportedly his grandmother's funeral — so don't read anything into his absence beyond that. Reed carries far more juice than his current #304 overall rank (#109 at WR) suggests; he managed 49 PPR points in just seven games last season (2025) before his year was cut short. Well wishes to the Reed family.

The next checkpoint is Monday's practice, when the Packers can start clarifying who's healthy heading into cutdowns. For fantasy purposes, none of this changes a draft board on its own. Williams and Reed both live in deep-league or dynasty territory, and preseason ankle and calf tweaks rarely reshape a roster. Hold your Reed shares, keep Williams on the watch list, and let Monday's report tell you whether any of these bruises turn into something you actually need to act on.
