Ravens Trim to 53: Chris Moore Cut in Baltimore's Roster Purge

Baltimore did its late-August accounting, and the ledger wasn't kind to Chris Moore. The Ravens announced their cutdown to the 53-man roster, waiving 28 players and terminating the contracts of five veterans — Moore among them, along with cornerback Amani Oruwariye, offensive tackle David Sharpe, safety K'Von Wallace and running back Jonathan Ward.

Moore was the only name in that veteran group with any fantasy relevance, and even that's generous. He caught 11 balls for 207 yards and a touchdown across 14 games in 2025, tacking on 9 rushing yards, which added up to a grand total of 39 PPR points on the season. That's not a WR3. That's a depth body, and Baltimore decided it didn't need him.

The full waiver list is a who's-who of camp bodies: linebackers Michael Barrett, Dominic DeLuca and Adisa Isaac, defensive linemen Aaron Graves and Rayshaun Benny, receivers Cornelius Johnson, Xavier Guillory and Dayton Wade, and quarterback Austin Reed, among two dozen others. The Ravens also stashed cornerback Bilhal Kone and running back Adam Randall on injured reserve with a return designation, meaning both could resurface later this year.

The Fantasy Fallout

None of these moves shift a lineup on their own, but the shape matters. Baltimore keeping its receiver room lean tells you the target hierarchy is settled, and Moore was never in the picture to begin with. Our model had him at #326 overall and #117 among wideouts for 2025 — the deep end of the pool, where players go undrafted and stay that way.

For fantasy managers, this is housekeeping, not a headline. If Chris Moore is somehow rostered in your league, he's a drop with zero hesitation — he's off Baltimore entirely and would need a new home before he sniffs a snap. Keep a loose eye on Randall's IR-return status if you play in a very deep dynasty format, but there's nothing here that changes a start/sit call for Week 1. Move on.
