Seahawks Add UDFA RB McMillan as Seattle's Backfield Thins Out

Seattle's RB room is a mess — Charbonnet on PUP, Price on IR — so the hometown kid joins a practice squad with zero backup bodies.

Emanuel Wilson

Wilson's the only Seahawks back worth a roster spot right now.

Key numbers
  • McMillan ran for 1,014 yds, 4 TD at EMU in 2025
  • Added 33 catches, 375 yds, 3 TD as a senior
  • Only RB on Seattle's practice squad
  • Charbonnet on PUP, Price on IR (14 PPR pts, 2026)
  • Wilson leads the room: 38 PPR pts in 4 games (2026)

The Seahawks have signed undrafted rookie running back McMillan to their practice squad, a move that says more about Seattle's depth problems than any breakout upside. The Baltimore Ravens cut him loose at the end of training camp after he went undrafted in 2026, and now the Seattle native — a Chief Stealth High product — comes home to a backfield that's running thin. His college resume is real: 1,014 rushing yards and four touchdowns in his 2025 senior season at Eastern Michigan, plus 33 catches for 375 yards and three scores.

The timing matters. Zach Charbonnet is parked on the PUP list and Jadarian Price is on IR, and McMillan is currently the only running back on the practice squad. That leaves Emanuel Wilson, George Holani, Robert Henry Jr. and Velus Jones Jr. as the active-roster options — none of whom you'd call a workhorse. McMillan's also got a tidy bit of trivia attached: he was teammates with current Seahawks WR Rashid Shaheed back at Weber State before transferring to EMU ahead of the 2023 season.

What It Means for the Backfield

Let's be clear about the pecking order here. Emanuel Wilson sits at RB49 in our rankings (#206 overall) and has produced 38 PPR points through four games this 2026 season on 190 rushing yards, a rushing TD and a receiving score. Holani is a distant afterthought — RB90 in our model, just 19 PPR points over four games. Price, before the IR stint, managed 119 rush yards and 14 PPR points across three games this season.

McMillan doesn't change any of that on arrival. Practice-squad signings rarely do. But the Seahawks clearly want insurance while Charbonnet and Price heal, and if either timeline drags, a hometown kid with a 1,000-yard college season becomes the next body up. That's the whole pitch: he's a stash-the-name, watch-the-depth-chart situation, not a Week 6 pickup.

The Fantasy Verdict

For now, this is strictly a monitoring assignment. McMillan is undraftable in redraft and shouldn't be rostered in anything but the deepest dynasty formats. The actual fantasy signal is on Emanuel Wilson — he's the clear lead while this room is banged up, and his 38 PPR points over four games (2026) make him a flex-worthy hold in deeper leagues. Keep Charbonnet's PUP status bookmarked; the moment he's cleared to return, Wilson's and McMillan's windows both shrink fast.
