Seahawks Scramble for RB Depth, Add Robert Henry Off Commanders' Squad
Seattle's backfield is thinning out fast — rookie Jadarian Price lands on IR after 119 rush yards through 3 games, and an undrafted UTSA back is the plug.

Undrafted rookie with zero NFL snaps — monitor the depth chart, don't roster yet.
- Henry signed off Washington's practice squad Tuesday
- Undrafted rookie out of UTSA, 0 career regular-season games
- Rookie Jadarian Price placed on injured reserve
- Jacardia Wright headed to practice squad IR
- Safety AJ Finley waived in the corresponding move
Seattle's running back room is springing leaks, and the patch job isn't glamorous. The Seahawks announced Tuesday they've signed Robert Henry to the 53-man roster off the Washington Commanders' practice squad, an undrafted rookie out of UTSA who hasn't logged a single regular-season snap in the NFL yet.
The move is pure necessity. Rookie Jadarian Price — who'd quietly put up 119 rushing yards and tacked on 4 catches for 21 yards across three games this season (2026), good for 14 PPR points — is heading to injured reserve. To make room for Henry, Seattle waived safety AJ Finley and stashed running back Jacardia Wright on practice squad injured reserve.
Why Seattle Was Forced to Act
Losing Price stings more than the box score suggests. He was carving out a real role in the rotation, and his absence leaves a genuine hole behind the top of the depth chart. Wright, who had just 20 rushing yards and 2 PPR points in a single appearance this season (2026), was never going to be the answer anyway — and now he's on IR too.
That's two backs down in one transaction cycle, which explains why the Seahawks dipped into another team's practice squad for a body. Henry gets a promotion and a new jersey, but he's walking into a situation defined by depth, not opportunity — at least for now.
The Fantasy Fallout
Let's be clear: Henry is a name to file, not a name to chase. An undrafted rookie with zero career touches isn't making anyone's flex plans this week, and claiming him in anything but the deepest dynasty format is premature. The more relevant fantasy note is the hole Price leaves behind — if injuries keep cascading, whoever emerges as the clear complementary back is the real add.
For now, drop Price to your IR slot if you're hanging onto him in a keeper league, and keep Henry on a watch list. If he starts eating snaps in practice reports or shows up on a game-day inactives list in your favor, revisit it then. Until Seattle gives him a defined role, there's nothing here worth a waiver bid.
