The NFL cracked open the checkbook Saturday, and two of the league's most productive receivers are on the hook. Amon-Ra St. Brown was fined four separate times for illegal celebrations or vulgar acts, while Tee Higgins picked up three fines for obscene gestures plus one for a vulgar act. Every single fine landed at $14,926, meaning both men owe exactly $59,704.
The good news for fantasy managers: none of this touches playing time. These are wallet penalties, not suspensions. St. Brown finished 2025 with 117 catches for 1,401 yards and 11 touchdowns — 324 PPR points, good for our WR3 overall and No. 13 across all positions. That production isn't going anywhere over a celebration bill.
Higgins was the biggest name from the Cincinnati side, but he had company. Ja'Marr Chase took two fines of the same amount, per the league's report. On the actual field, Higgins logged 210 PPR points across 15 games in 2025 (59-846-11), landing at WR16 in our rankings.

The Lions turned it into a team activity. Beyond St. Brown's four hits, Jahmyr Gibbs, left tackle Penei Sewell and Jameson Williams all got fined for the same infraction. Williams caught an extra $11,941 taunting fine on top of his celebration charge. In all, the NFL handed out 18 fines for obscene gestures or illegal celebrations across Week 2.
Gibbs remains the crown jewel here for fantasy purposes — our RB3 and No. 5 overall after a 367 PPR-point 2025 (1,223 rush yards, 13 rush TDs, plus 77 grabs). Williams sits at WR12 in our rankings following his 220-point season (65-1,117-7), and his last five games trended +2 fantasy points above his season average.
The fantasy takeaway is simple: hold everyone. Fines don't dent snap counts, target shares or roles. St. Brown, Gibbs, Higgins and Williams all keep their exact same value they had before the NFL mailed the invoices. If anything, treat this as noise — the only number that changed is a bank balance, not a box score.
