Caleb Williams, Tyson Bagent Both Sit Thursday — Case Keenum Looms
Williams (hamstring) and Bagent (concussion) were non-participants Thursday, putting veteran Case Keenum in line to start Monday night.

A Keenum-led offense caps his ceiling on Monday night.
- Williams (hamstring) a DNP Thursday
- Bagent (concussion) also non-participant
- Keenum next up: 10 PPR pts in 2023
- Williams: 27 TD, 0 INT in 2025
- Monangai (knee) also didn't practice
Chicago's quarterback room is suddenly a fire drill. The Bears estimated Caleb Williams (hamstring) and Tyson Bagent (concussion) as non-participants Thursday, and if that holds through the weekend, veteran Case Keenum walks into a Monday night start. That's a steep drop from a passer who threw 27 touchdowns and zero interceptions across 17 games last season (2025), good for 333 PPR points and our No. 11 overall rank (No. 5 among QBs).
Bagent is the more concerning name here for real-world reasons — concussion protocol timelines don't bend for anyone, so even a Thursday non-participant tag doesn't tell you much about Monday. Williams' hamstring is the one to track for fantasy purposes. A DNP two practices from game day isn't a death sentence, but it's not a green light either.
Who's Left Standing
If both sit, Keenum runs the show. His last meaningful sample is thin: 291 passing yards, one touchdown and three interceptions across two games back in 2023 — worth all of 10 PPR points. He's unranked in our model for a reason. Nobody's streaming a Keenum-led Chicago passing attack, and that includes the pass-catchers who suddenly lose their high-ceiling trigger man.
The injury list didn't stop at quarterback. Running back Kyle Monangai (knee), kicker Cairo Santos (right hip) and cornerback Tyrique Stevenson (hamstring) were all non-participants too, while linebacker Noah Sewell (Achilles) and defensive lineman Shemar Turner (knee) were limited. That's a lot of red on one report.
The Fantasy Fallout
Monangai is the one to sweat. He posted 783 rushing yards, five touchdowns and 143 PPR points last season (2025) — our No. 117 overall back at No. 31 at the position — but his own knee tag plus a Keenum-run offense is an ugly combination. His last-five-games form was already running 1.6 fantasy points below his season average. Santos, meanwhile, sat at 114 PPR points in 2025 (No. 19 among kickers) but trended 7.6 points below his season average over his final five games, and the hip only muddies matters.
Bottom line: if you roster Williams, get a backup QB queued up now and treat him as a wait-and-see until Friday's report. Monangai is a shaky sit given his knee and the quarterback downgrade — leave him on your bench if you have a healthier option. And don't go reaching for Keenum or any Chicago pass-catcher off this news; there's no fantasy upside worth chasing in a stopgap offense on a short week.
