Chicago's RB1 and RB2 both practiced limited Wednesday, and right tackle Darnell Wright didn't practice at all ahead of Sunday's Vikings clash.

D'Andre Swift

Limited but practicing; still a locked-in RB2 until we hear otherwise.

Key numbers
  • Swift: 229 PPR pts, RB15 in 2025 (our rank)
  • Nine Bears on Wednesday's initial report
  • RT Darnell Wright DNP (knee)
  • Monangai limited (hamstring), RB31 in 2025
  • Kickoff Sunday 12:00 CT at Soldier Field, FOX

Chicago's Wednesday injury report jumped from three names last week to nine this week, and the two that matter most for fantasy sit right in the backfield. D'Andre Swift (ankle/knee) and Kyle Monangai (hamstring) both practiced in a limited capacity ahead of Sunday's noon kickoff against the Vikings at Soldier Field. Neither is a DNP, which is the good news.

Swift is coming off a monster 2025 — 1,087 rushing yards, nine scores, 34 catches for 299 more, and 229 PPR points that landed him at RB15 (our rank #41 overall). A limited Wednesday for the guy touching the ball 20-plus times a week isn't shocking maintenance stuff, but with the ankle/knee combo it's worth tracking through Thursday and Friday.

The Concern Up Front

The scariest name on the list isn't a skill guy at all — it's right tackle Darnell Wright, who didn't practice due to a knee issue. Wright is the anchor of Chicago's right side, and if he can't go, that trickles straight down to Swift's rushing lanes and the pass protection. Fingers crossed the DNP is precautionary.

Also flagged: DL Neville Gallimore (illness), DL Grady Jarrett (rest), plus limited reps for DB Malik Muhammad (ankle), DL Dayo Odeyingbo (shoulder), OL Ozzy Trapilo (knee) and DB Xavier Woods (groin). On the bright side, WR Rome Odunze isn't on the report at all after a full week of questionable-tag drama last time out — he looks good to go.

Vikings Side Notes

For Minnesota managers, the news is thinner. RB Jordan Mason (thumb) is already on IR, taking a low-end flex off the board — he posted 129 PPR points in 2025 (our RB35) and was trending -1.8 fantasy points below his season average over his last five games anyway. QB Kyler Murray (concussion) is practicing limited as he works through protocol; he's our QB40 after just five games in 2025 and isn't a fantasy factor right now regardless.

Bottom line: keep starting Swift. A limited Wednesday for a workhorse rarely signals anything, and there's no reason to bench a top-15 back off one report. Monangai's limited hamstring tag is more of a note for handcuff holders — if either back's status worsens by Friday, the other's value spikes. Watch the practice reports, but don't panic-move anyone yet.
