Jayden Daniels' Line Is a Mess: Commanders Offense Falls Flat vs Ravens

Why This Isn't Just Preseason Noise

Depth is supposed to be the thing teams stress-test in August, and Washington failed the test. Julian Good-Jones has two career NFL snaps. Tanoa Togiai is an undrafted rookie. These are back-of-roster names being asked to protect a franchise quarterback, and new OC David Blough's scheme can't do much if the pocket collapses on contact. Daniels himself has been sharp all camp, Cosmi's absence was a one-day thing, and the Croskey-Merritt/White backfield could be sneaky-good — Croskey-Merritt finished 2025 with 805 rushing yards and 8 scores (140 PPR points) and is trending up, averaging +2.3 fantasy points over his last five games versus his season mark. That's a genuine asset if the line ever stabilizes.

For fantasy managers: this is a WATCH, not a panic-sell, on Daniels. His rushing floor and passing ceiling are real, and he sits at QB35 in our rankings largely on last year's seven-game sample.
