Justin Jefferson back at practice, but Jordan Addison's hamstring is the new worry
Jefferson returned limited Wednesday and plans to play in New Orleans, while Addison sat out with a hamstring issue after a quiet 52-yard outing.

Back at practice and planning to play; you start him the moment he's active.
- Jefferson: 43 PPR pts in 3 games (2026)
- Jefferson limited Wed; plans to play at Saints
- Addison missed practice with a hamstring
- Addison: 11 rec, 163 yds, 1 TD in 2026
- LT Darrisaw (concussion) also sat out
Justin Jefferson is trending the right way. The Vikings' top receiver returned to practice Wednesday on a limited basis after missing last week's win over the Dolphins with an ankle injury, and he said the plan is for him to suit up Sunday at New Orleans. Jefferson, who grew up in Louisiana, made clear he wants to play that road game — though he also tempered it with the usual day-by-day caveat.
The number that matters for your lineup: Jefferson has racked up 43 PPR points across just three games this season (2026), on 13 catches for 179 yards and two scores. He's our WR18 and the No. 62 overall player in our 2026 rankings even after missing time. A limited Wednesday isn't a green light, but it's exactly the practice progression you want to see three days out.
The Addison Twist
Here's the complication. Jordan Addison sat out Wednesday entirely with a hamstring injury, a new concern after he logged four catches for 52 yards in the Miami win. Hamstrings are the kind of soft-tissue issue that can linger, so his status is worth monitoring closely as the week unfolds.
Addison has been serviceable rather than spectacular in 2026, with 11 receptions for 163 yards and a touchdown through four games — good for 33 PPR points and a WR44 ranking (No. 127 overall) in our model. He's a flex piece on most rosters, not a weekly must-start, which changes the calculus if his practice reps stay at zero.
The rest of the Minnesota report is a mixed bag. Left tackle Christian Darrisaw (concussion) and corner Chuck Demmings (hamstring) both sat. Running back Aaron Jones (rest) and right tackle Brian O'Neill (knee) were limited, while center Michael Jurgens (elbow), tight end Ben Yurosek (ankle) and punter Brett Thorson (hamstring) were full participants. Yurosek remains deep-league fodder at best as our TE26 with just three PPR points on the season.
What To Do
Jefferson stays locked into your lineup — the instant he's officially active Sunday, he's a start, full stop. Just keep one eye on the Friday injury designation given the limited Wednesday. Addison managers need a plan B: if he misses another practice or lands as questionable, line up a flex replacement rather than gambling on a hamstring. Hold him on your bench if you've got the room, but don't count on him until he practices in full.
