Lamar Jackson Limited by Back Injury Ahead of Ravens-Titans
Jackson got on the field Wednesday but was capped by a back issue. The good news: he practiced. The bad news: it's one more thing to watch before Sunday.

He practiced, limited or not — he's a locked-in QB1 until ruled out.
- Jackson limited Wed. with back issue, still practiced
- QB18 in our rankings, 233 PPR pts in 2025 (13 games)
- Form dip: -3.7 FPTS/G over his last 5 games (2025)
- Flowers (hamstring) limited; Hendrickson, Pocic out
- Ravens host Titans on Sunday
Baltimore's Wednesday injury report finally put a name to the mystery: Lamar Jackson was limited with a back issue as the Ravens began prep for the Titans this Sunday. He was still out there, which is the detail that matters most — a quarterback who practices, even on a pitch count, is a quarterback trending toward playing.
For fantasy purposes, Jackson sits at QB18 in our rankings right now, which undersells what he's done. He put up 233 PPR points across 13 games in 2025, throwing 21 touchdowns against zero interceptions and adding 349 rushing yards with two scores on the ground. That's elite-adjacent production even in a down year for his volume.
The caveat is the recent form. Over his last five games in 2025, Jackson averaged 3.7 fantasy points below his season mark — not a collapse, but a cooling trend. A back injury is exactly the kind of thing that can sap a rushing quarterback's upside, and Jackson's legs are a big slice of his ceiling. If the explosiveness is limited, so is the fantasy payoff.
He's Not The Only Raven Banged Up
Zay Flowers (hamstring) was also limited Wednesday, which is worth flagging for managers who leaned on him all last season. Flowers was a genuine stud in 2025 — WR7 in our rankings on the back of 86 catches for 1,211 yards and five touchdowns, good for 243 PPR points. His recent arrow pointed up, too: he averaged 5.8 fantasy points above his season line over his final five games (2025). A limited tag is a note, not an alarm, but track it.
The deeper names won't move your lineup. Chris Moore (ankle) and Durham Smythe (heel) were both limited, but Moore is our WR117 and Smythe our TE97 — barely rosterable in standard leagues even healthy. Edge rusher Trey Hendrickson (finger) and center Ethan Pocic (knee) sat out entirely, with Pocic nursing what the staff called a long-term injury from Sunday.
The Fantasy Call
Don't overthink Jackson. A limited Wednesday with a back issue is a monitor-the-report situation, not a bench-him one. Keep him in your starting lineup and check Thursday and Friday for full-participation upgrades. If he's trending toward limited-to-out by Friday, have a streamer ready — but right now, you start him and you don't blink. Flowers is the same story: a start unless the hamstring forces a sit or an inactive.
