Nick Emmanwori Limited by Ankle as Seahawks Open Injury Report
The Seahawks safety was a limited participant on the season's first injury report, and coach Mike Macdonald couldn't say much about his month-long progress.

Hamstring-limited WR is a stash, not a Week 1 starter yet.
- Emmanwori limited on season's first injury report (ankle)
- Macdonald wouldn't characterize a month of progress
- Horton (hamstring) also limited — 59 PPR pts in 2025
- Ty Okada (hamstring) did not practice Sunday
- Horton scored 5 TDs on 13 catches over 8 games in 2025
The Seahawks put out their first official injury report of the season on Sunday, and safety Nick Emmanwori headlined it as a limited participant with an ankle issue. That's not a fresh scare — it's the same ankle that's shadowed him for weeks, and Seattle is clearly managing it rather than rushing him.
The wrinkle came a day earlier. When coach Mike Macdonald was asked whether he could describe Emmanwori's progress over the past month, he basically shrugged the question off, saying not really. He did praise Emmanwori's approach and the training staff's work, calling the whole thing a tough situation the young safety has handled well. Encouraging on effort, murky on timeline.
Who Else Is Banged Up
Emmanwori wasn't alone. Safety Ty Okada (hamstring) sat out entirely. Joining Emmanwori as limited were guard Anthony Bradford (knee), tackle Josh Jones (quadricep) and — the name fantasy managers care about — receiver Tory Horton (hamstring). Full participants included tight end A.J. Barner (oblique), cornerback Julian Neal (quadricep) and running back Emmanuel Wilson (hamstring).
The Fantasy Angle
Emmanwori is an IDP-only concern, so if you're not in a defensive-player league, his ankle isn't moving your roster. Horton is the one worth tracking. Our model has him at WR96 (#276 overall), and his 2025 line tells you why he's on the radar at all: 13 catches for 161 yards and 5 touchdowns across 8 games — 59 PPR points in a small sample, but touchdown-heavy production for a depth receiver.
The hamstring tag is the catch. A limited Sunday isn't a red flag on its own, but soft-tissue stuff lingers, and Horton has to prove he's fully cleared before he's a lineup piece. For now he's a stash in deeper leagues — hold him if you've got the bench room, but don't slot him into a Week 1 flex until Seattle upgrades him to full and Macdonald gives a cleaner read than he offered on Emmanwori.
