The primetime slate handed fantasy managers a gut punch before kickoff: Puka Nacua is inactive for the Rams as they host Denver, sidelined by a psoas injury. On the other sideline, Broncos receiver Marvin Mims is also out with a foot problem, thinning both aerial attacks at once.
Nacua is the bigger name here, and it's not close. He's our No. 2 overall player and the top-ranked wideout, coming off a 2025 line of 129 catches, 1,715 yards and 10 receiving touchdowns across 16 games — good for 375 PPR points. Losing that kind of production, even for a single week, reshapes lineups in a hurry.
The one bit of comfort: this doesn't read like a long-term issue. The psoas injury is being framed as something that could bring Nacua back soon, so managers who rode him into September aren't staring at a multi-week hole.
Denver's inactive list runs deep beyond Mims. Sam Ehlinger is down as the emergency third quarterback, joined by Lil'Jordan Humphrey, Sai'Vion Jones, Kage Casey, Dallen Bentley and Tyler Onyedim. None of them move the fantasy needle, but Mims's absence does trim Denver's receiver rotation.
The Rams are also missing more than just their star wideout. Safety Kam Kinchens, receivers CJ Daniels and Tutu Atwell, quarterback Ty Simpson (their emergency third QB), safety Maximus Pulley and offensive lineman Bill Murray are all inactive. Atwell, now buried at our WR130 and trending down (-2.2 fantasy points over his last five games), was never a fantasy factor anyway.
The Fantasy Fallout
For Nacua managers, the move is to hold and wait. He's a locked-in WR1 the moment he's active again, and there's no benefit to panic-selling over a week off — the return timeline reportedly points to soon. Slot in your best bench receiver for one week and move on.
The bigger opportunity is who inherits Nacua's targets. If you're streaming, a healthy Rams pass-catcher could see a spike in volume tonight, and Mims's absence opens a sliver of extra work in Denver's receiver room. Nobody there is a must-add, so treat those as short-term dart throws, not roster staples.
