Puka Nacua Trending Back for Week 4 as Rams Rule Out Aaron Donald
Nacua is set to return from a hip injury against the Eagles after one game of action, while the Rams' defense loses Aaron Donald again.

WR1 upside returns; snap count is the only wrinkle in Week 4.
- Nacua expected to play Week 4 vs. Eagles
- Played just 1 game in 2026: 5 rec, 74 yds
- Donald out again (back); 2nd missed game of 2026
- Adams: 18 rec, 358 yds, 2 TD, 66 PPR pts (2026)
- Rams sit at 1-2 facing 2-1 Philadelphia
The Rams delivered a split verdict on Friday: Aaron Donald is out for Week 4 against the Eagles with a back injury, but Puka Nacua is expected back after a hip problem that cost him the last two weeks. Nacua has suited up just once in 2026 — five catches for 74 yards in the opener in Australia — and his return is the headline fantasy managers actually care about.
Donald, 35, did not practice Wednesday or Thursday and will miss his second game of the season after sitting out the opener. Sean McVay said Donald felt soreness in his back following the Week 3 loss to Denver. With Myles Garrett already on IR following Week 1 knee surgery, L.A.'s pass rush is thin — but that's a real-life problem, not a redraft one for most leagues.
What Nacua's Return Means
Nacua carries our #2 overall rank and sits #1 among wide receivers for a reason — he posted the league's second-most receiving yards last year (1,715) and has two 1,000-yard campaigns across four seasons. McVay said Nacua won't carry an injury designation and looked sharp Thursday, describing him as explosive and sturdy in and out of breaks. The one caveat: conditioning could cap his snap count after so much time off.
That's the only thing keeping this from being a slam-dunk start. McVay was candid that how much Nacua plays is still to be determined, so a soft usage week is possible before he's fully unleashed. Everything else — Matthew Stafford's trust, the target volume, the matchup — points the right direction.
The Davante Adams Question
Adams has feasted in Nacua's absence, going for 137 yards on seven grabs one week and eight catches for 195 yards and two scores through the air in another. He's up to 18 receptions, 358 yards and 2 TD for 66 PPR points in 2026, good for our #9 WR rank. Nacua's return thins the target tree, but Stafford has thrown four picks already and leaned heavily on both; this offense has scored 26-plus in back-to-back weeks and ranks fourth in passing yards (885).
Fantasy bottom line: start Nacua and accept a slightly softer first game back — the ceiling is too high to sit a WR1 over conditioning chatter. Hold Adams confidently; he's earned WR2 trust and the Rams throw enough to feed two. Donald is an IDP and real-football concern only, so adjust your DST expectations against Philadelphia accordingly.
