The Baltimore receiver was arrested June 3 on misdemeanor charges of criminal property damage, reckless conduct and battery, tied to a family violence incident in his home state of Georgia, per Walton County Sheriff's Office booking documents. The 26-year-old is set to enter his sixth NFL season, all with the Ravens.
Baltimore says it's aware of the situation and has been in direct contact with Bateman, adding that it notified the league office and has cooperated throughout. The team declined further comment, citing the pending legal matter. Translation: this now runs on two clocks — the court's and the NFL's disciplinary process — and neither moves fast.
Why This Matters for His Season
Even before the legal cloud, Bateman wasn't a fantasy asset you were leaning on. He mustered a career-low 224 receiving yards on 19 catches with just two touchdowns across 13 games in 2025 — good for only 53 PPR points on the year. Over his last five outings, he averaged 2.5 fantasy points below his own season mark. That's a downward slide inside an already thin profile.
The contract makes the situation stickier. Bateman re-signed with Baltimore last June on a three-year, $36.75 million extension with $16.5 million fully guaranteed at signing, so he's not going anywhere on roster math alone.
