If you rostered Trevor Lawrence or tossed a few bucks on him to find the end zone in Week 3, Sunday delivered a gut-punch. On third-and-4 near the New England goal line, with Jacksonville cruising 28-6, Lawrence broke free up the left sideline — and then took a knee at the 1 instead of walking in the touchdown. The Jaguars won 35-6, but that kneel cost anytime-TD bettors a clean cash.
The kicker: over eight minutes still sat on the fourth-quarter clock, New England burned a timeout after the kneel, and Bhayshul Tuten punched it in on the very next snap. Lawrence admitted afterward he was trying to bleed clock but misjudged how much time was left, conceding he probably should have just scored. He framed it as a gift to the Tuten fantasy crowd — cold comfort if you had the QB.
Lawrence didn't exactly need the rushing score to salvage his day. He threw for three touchdowns, passing Blake Bortles for the second-most passing TDs in franchise history (105) and moving ahead of Mark Brunell for the most games with three-plus passing TDs (13) in Jaguars history. So while the goal-line kneel stings on a prop ticket, his actual fantasy line was plenty healthy.

Here's the context that matters for your roster: Lawrence sits at QB4 and #10 overall in our rankings, and he's trending up — his last five games are running +8.2 fantasy points above his season average. He also posted 340 PPR points across 17 games in 2025 with nine rushing scores, so those goal-line runs are usually money. Sunday was the exception, not the rule.
For Tuten managers, the touchdown is nice but keep it in perspective. He's our RB52 (#215 overall) after a modest 2025 — 307 rush yards and five scores, plus 79 receiving yards and two more TDs for 89 PPR points across 15 games. One gifted goal-line carry doesn't reshape his outlook; he's still a depth stash, not a weekly starter.
Bottom line: nothing about this changes Lawrence's value. Keep starting him as a top-five QB, and if a nervous manager in your league is spooked by one weird kneel, that's your window to buy. Tuten stays a hold on deeper benches — monitor the backfield split, but don't torch your waiver budget over a garbage-time six.
