49ers Activate DT Alfred Collins as Kittle, Guerendo Stay on PUP

The 49ers cleared defensive tackle Alfred Collins off the active/PUP list on Friday after he passed his physical and got back on the practice field. The 2025 second-round pick out of Texas is now full-go following offseason shoulder surgery, heading into year two after appearing in all 16 games as a rookie with one start.

Collins isn't a fantasy asset unless you're deep in an IDP league — his 2025 line reads 17 tackles, one sack, one tackle for loss, two passes defensed, two forced fumbles and a fumble recovery. Solid rotational interior work, nothing that moves a redraft needle. The reason this transaction matters is who's still stuck behind him on the shelf.

The Names That Actually Matter

George Kittle stays on PUP as he works back from an Achilles issue, and that's the domino fantasy managers need to track through August. Kittle sits at TE13 and #102 overall in our current rankings, coming off a 2025 season (11 games) that produced 57 catches, 628 yards and seven touchdowns for 162 PPR points. When healthy, he's a top-tier tight end — the question is when "healthy" arrives.

Running back Isaac Guerendo (pectoral) is also on PUP, along with defensive end Mykel Williams (ACL). Guerendo is unranked and logged zero PPR points across 14 games in 2025, so his fantasy relevance hinges entirely on Christian McCaffrey's availability. A pec injury slowing his ramp-up doesn't help a profile that's already a pure handcuff dart throw.
