Breece Hall Questionable Again for Week 8 as Jets' Injuries Pile Up

Hall logged three straight limited practices before last week's inactive tag. The RB19 is a game-time gamble against the Raiders.

Breece Hall

Three limited practices and a repeat questionable tag — check active status before kickoff.

Key numbers
  • Hall: 3 straight limited practices, questionable
  • Hall ranks RB19, our #58 overall
  • 43 PPR pts through 3 games (2026)
  • David Bailey doubtful — groin, 3 missed practices
  • T'Vondre Sweat ruled out with knee injury

If this feels like déjà vu, that's because it is. Breece Hall is listed as questionable for the Jets' Week 8 matchup with the Raiders after logging his third straight limited practice — the exact same path that ended with him inactive last weekend. New York slapped him with the same tag then, too, and it didn't end well for anyone holding him in lineups.

Hall is our RB19 and the #58 player overall, and through three games this season (2026) he's managed 163 rushing yards and a touchdown on the ground plus 10 catches for 102 yards, good for 43 PPR points. That's a usable floor when he plays. The problem is the "when."

The Jets' injury report is getting crowded beyond just their lead back. Rookie pass rusher David Bailey sat out a third consecutive session with a lingering groin issue and carries a doubtful designation — meaning if he's out, it'd be the first missed game of his young career. Defensive lineman T'Vondre Sweat has already been ruled out with a knee injury suffered against the Dolphins last week.

There's at least one thread of good news for Gang Green. Offensive lineman Dylan Parham got through his first full practice of the week despite a knee issue, so he's trending toward suiting up. For fantasy purposes, a healthier line in front of Hall matters — if Hall plays.

The Fantasy Fallout

The frustrating part is that Hall's a clear starter when active, but questionable tags that mirror last week's script are a warning, not a green light. You can't bench an RB19 on a hunch, yet you can't afford a zero from an inactive back either. If you're thin at running back, have a pivot ready and monitor the active/inactive report before kickoff.

Bottom line: treat Hall as a watch, not a confident start. If you've got a reliable flex alternative, lean that way until the Jets confirm he's suiting up. Managers who got burned last week know exactly how fast this can go sideways — don't get caught holding an empty roster spot twice.
