Jakobi Meyers Adds Ankle to Hamstring Woes, Now a Game-Day Call
Meyers (61 PPR pts through 6 games) sat out Friday with a new ankle issue and lands questionable with rain in the Sunday forecast.

New ankle issue plus wet field makes him a true game-day decision.
- Meyers: 20 rec, 285 yds, 2 TD, 61 PPR pts in 6 games (2026)
- Meyers added ankle issue, sat out Friday practice
- Antonio Johnson ruled out; Merriweather expected to start
- Colts rule out WR/PR Anthony Gould (concussion)
- Rain and wet field forecast for Sunday's game
The Jaguars' Friday injury report handed fantasy managers one clean answer and one messy one. Antonio Johnson is ruled out, which opens a first 2026 start for Andrew Merriweather — relevant for IDP leagues but not much else. The messier story is Jakobi Meyers, who added an ankle problem on top of his hamstring and did not practice Friday, landing him as questionable for Sunday.
That's a worse spot than it looked earlier in the week. Meyers was a limited participant Wednesday and Thursday with just the hamstring before the ankle presumably cropped up Thursday and knocked him out of the final session. He's posted 20 catches for 285 yards and 2 touchdowns across six games this season (2026) — that's 61 PPR points, good for our WR46 ranking. Useful production you'd rather not gamble on blind.
Meyers himself downplayed the concern after practice, telling reporters he felt okay. Take that for what it's worth from a guy who skipped the day's work entirely. With rain and a wet field in the Sunday forecast, a lower-body combo like hamstring-plus-ankle is exactly the kind of thing that turns into a late scratch or a snap-count limit.
The Rest Of The Jaguars Report
The better news for Jacksonville: tight end Brenton Strange (eye) was a full participant and is expected to play. Strange has quietly been a steady streamer, logging 26 catches for 279 yards and a score through six games this season (2026) — 60 PPR points and our TE19. Also cleared to go are DT Ruke Orhorhoro and CB Montaric Brown. LeQuint Allen Jr., Josh Hines-Allen, Jahlani Tavai and Ross Matiscik were limited but carry no designation, so they're good.
On the Indianapolis side, the Colts ruled out wide receiver and punt returner Anthony Gould (concussion) despite full practices Thursday and Friday — concussion protocol doesn't care about participation. Gould's fantasy footprint is nonexistent anyway (2 catches, 3 PPR points in 2025). Slot corner Justin Walley is out, while LB Bryce Boettcher and TE Drew Ogletree are questionable. Ogletree, our TE98 with 5 PPR points this season (2026), isn't on anyone's radar.
Bottom line for managers: if you've got Meyers, have a replacement warming up and watch the inactives list closely before Sunday's 1 p.m. window. The ankle, the hamstring, and the weather stack the odds against a full workload even if he suits up. Strange, meanwhile, is a confident start at a thin position — slot him in and move on.
