  • Bengals favored by 2.5 (DraftKings)

Two quarterbacks who first crossed paths in the 2020 national title game meet again Sunday, and this time the fantasy stakes are yours, not theirs. Joe Burrow and Trevor Lawrence headline a 2-1 vs. 2-1 AFC collision at Paycor Stadium, with Cincinnati listed as a 2.5-point favorite. Burrow owns a 70.9% completion rate, 743 passing yards, six touchdowns and a single pick; Lawrence counters with 616 yards, a league-eye-catching seven scores and two interceptions.

On paper the Bengals' 2-1 start looks clean, but the opponents tell a different story — their two wins came against Tampa Bay and Houston, who are a combined 0-6. Jacksonville, meanwhile, just steamrolled New England 35-6 and is the only AFC South team above .500. This is a temperature check for Cincinnati, and a chance for the Jaguars to prove the hype is real.

The Passing-Game Picture

The Jaguars' secondary showed teeth last week, holding the Patriots to 178 passing yards, zero touchdowns and three stuffed red-zone trips. The catch: they also let Jaylen Waddle go for a 100-yard day, so the ceiling exists for a sharp route-runner. Enter Tee Higgins, who ranks ninth in the NFL in receiving yards (244) and carries a 44 PPR-point tally through three games in 2026. Ja'Marr Chase has been quieter at 185 yards, but this duo can tilt a game in a single quarter.

Cincinnati's defense was the sore spot a year ago, and it had rebuilt some credibility this fall — until last week's 30-27 loss to Pittsburgh, its worst showing of the season. That unit now faces a Jaguars offense gaining confidence weekly, one that also brings a stronger ground game than the Bengals. If the pass rush can't get home, Lawrence has the arm to make Cincinnati pay.

The Fantasy Fallout

For fantasy purposes, Higgins is a confident start — WR16 in our rankings, elite target volume, and a defense that just proved it can be beaten deep. Lawrence is the more interesting lever at quarterback: he sits QB4 (overall #10) in our rankings on the back of that seven-TD start, and this matchup against a reeling Bengals secondary keeps him firmly in weekly-start territory. Burrow is a trickier call. The raw numbers are strong, but our board has him at QB31 right now, a reflection of recent form and a tougher Jacksonville pass defense. Stream-level managers can fire him up in a shootout spot, but temper the ceiling expectations against a unit that just blanked New England through the air.
