Caleb Williams Back to Full Practice, Eyeing Return vs. Falcons
Williams was a full participant Wednesday and looks on track for Sunday in Atlanta. RB Kyle Monangai (thumb/toe) is the one to sweat.

Full practice, on track to return — fire him up in Atlanta.
- Williams full participant Wednesday (walk-thru)
- 47 PPR pts through 2 games in 2026
- Monangai (thumb/toe) DNP, our RB31
- Bears at Falcons, Sun 12:00 CT on FOX
- Odeyingbo 'likely to miss some time'
The headline from Chicago's Wednesday injury report is the one fantasy managers wanted: Caleb Williams was listed as a full participant and looks on track to play Sunday against the Falcons. The Bears only held a walk-thru, so the designation comes with an asterisk, but head coach Ben Johnson surfaced the news himself — and full participation this early in the week is about as green a light as you'll get before an official announcement.
Williams has been efficient when on the field in 2026: 407 passing yards, two touchdowns and zero picks across two games, plus 107 rushing yards and two more scores on the ground. That rushing floor is doing a lot of heavy lifting — he's piled up 47 PPR points over those two outings, which is why our model slots him at QB5 and No. 11 overall among all players.
The Rest of the Report
DB Kyler Gordon (calf) was a full participant again, and the clock matters here — his 21-day practice window opened September 23, meaning the Bears must activate him off PUP by today (October 15) to keep him eligible this season. Tyrique Stevenson (hip) was limited and is considered day-to-day.
The DNP list is longer and carries more fantasy weight. RB Kyle Monangai (thumb/toe) sat out, along with LB T.J. Edwards (hamstring), LB Keyshaun Elliott (quadricep) and DL Dayo Odeyingbo (quadricep). Johnson said Odeyingbo is likely to miss some time, so defensive-stream types can look elsewhere.
Monangai is the real roster question. He's logged 324 rushing yards and three touchdowns over four games, good for 59 PPR points and a spot as our RB31 (No. 117 overall). A thumb and toe combination on a running back is worth monitoring closely as the week develops — a Thursday/Friday upgrade keeps him in the flex mix, another DNP flips him to a genuine sit.
The Fantasy Fallout
Start Williams with confidence. A dual-threat quarterback drawing a road matchup in a dome, coming off full practice, is exactly the QB1-caliber profile our rankings already baked in. For Monangai, hold and watch the Thursday report — don't scramble to drop a top-32 back over one walk-thru absence, but have a contingency ready if he can't clear the toe issue by Friday.
