Cam Ward and the Titans Are a Fantasy Mess Two Weeks In

Week 1 was ugly for Tennessee, and Week 2 doesn't look any friendlier. The Titans put up a grand total of 195 yards of offense in their opener, got walked around the block by the Jets, and now they draw an Eagles defense that's still elite even while the Philly offense finds its footing under Sean Mannion. If you rolled Cam Ward out expecting a quick sophomore leap, the early returns are rough.

Ward sits at #64 overall and #22 at the position in our model, which is roughly where you'd have him if you're streaming or holding him as a deep bench dart. For context, he racked up 201 PPR points across 17 games last season (2025), and his last five games actually ran +2.7 fantasy points above his season average. The talent flicker is there. The supporting cast, blocking and coaching around him right now is not.

Where the Real Streaming Value Sits

Jordan Love is a different conversation entirely. The Packers collapsed in Week 1, but Love threw for 387 yards and two scores behind a shaky line with zero help from the run game. He's the kind of quarterback who makes hard throws look routine, and the matchup against the Jets — dealing with a Minkah Fitzpatrick absence — sets up for another productive line. Green Bay should bounce back.

Justin Jefferson is the other name worth locking in. He caught eight balls for 92 yards and two touchdowns last week, and now he faces a Bears secondary that looked abysmal in the opener. The Kyler Murray concussion uncertainty might spook some managers, but don't overthink it: Jefferson averaged 95.4 receiving yards per game across five Carson Wentz starts in 2025, and Wentz is more than willing to launch it downfield. A pass-heavy game script only helps.

Stefon Diggs is a sneakier play. His Commanders debut was uneven — nine targets, four catches, 55 yards, but he did torch Cooper DeJean for a score. This week he draws a Cowboys defense that got picked apart by linebackers losing coverage assignments in Week 1. The volume plus the matchup plus a likely shootout script make Diggs a solid flex bet.

The bottom line for Ward managers: sit him this week. The Eagles defense is a bad draw for a struggling offense that couldn't move the ball against Geno Smith and the Jets. Keep him stashed if your bench is deep and you believe in the long-term arm talent, but he's not a startable QB1 or even a comfortable QB2 until Tennessee shows it can crack triple digits in yardage. For actual Week 2 production, Love and Jefferson are your safer buttons to press.
