Chris Olave Shakes Off Illness, Back at Practice as Questionable
Olave returned to a limited Friday workout after missing two days sick. He's WR8 in our rankings with 537 yards through five games.

A limited Friday return points to him playing; WR8 production is too good to bench.
- Olave: 39 catches, 537 yards, 1 TD in 5 games
- Olave is our WR8, overall #25
- Olave returned to limited practice Friday
- Kamara (back) also questionable, limited all week
- Elliss (calf) and Jennings (knee) ruled out
Chris Olave missed Wednesday and Thursday practice with an illness, but he got back on the field Friday for a limited session and carries a questionable tag into Sunday's Week 6 game. That's the trajectory you want to see. Olave sits at 39 catches for 537 yards and a touchdown through five games, which lands him at WR8 in our rankings and #25 overall.
The illness is the softest kind of questionable there is. A sick player who returns Friday on limited reps is usually a go, and unless New Orleans downgrades him Saturday, Olave profiles as a lock to suit up. The 537 yards speak for themselves — he's been the Saints' clear-cut target leader and a weekly fantasy must-start.
The Kamara Situation
Alvin Kamara is the other name managers need to watch. He's also listed as questionable, this time with a back issue, and he was limited in practice every day this week. That's a less reassuring pattern than Olave's — Kamara never got a full session, and back trouble has a way of lingering week to week.
The bigger concern is the production. Kamara has just 86 rushing yards and two scores on the ground, plus 13 catches for 41 yards, good for only 38 PPR points over four games this season (2026). That puts him at RB45 and #193 overall in our ranks. The back injury is a headache stacked on top of an already quiet year.
New Orleans also ruled out linebackers Kaden Elliss (calf) and Anfernee Jennings (knee), while Nathan Shepherd (illness), Lorenzo Styles (knee) and long snapper Zach Wood join the questionable list. None of those move the fantasy needle, but the Saints are patching together a defense.
Bottom line: start Olave with confidence barring a Saturday setback — his usage and WR8 standing make him locked in. Kamara is the harder call. The back tag plus his pedestrian 38-point output makes him a nervy flex at best; if you've got a healthier RB2 option, lean that way and keep Kamara as a dart throw until we see Saturday's final word.
