D'Andre Swift Clears Injury Report, Locked In to Face the Jets
Swift was a full participant Friday with no designation after a Thursday rest day. He's already got 253 rush yards and three TDs through three games.

No injury tag, lead back role, three TDs in three games — fire him up.
- 253 rush yds, 3 TDs through 3 games (2026)
- 8 catches, 68 receiving yards so far in 2026
- Full participant Friday, no injury designation
- RB15 in our rankings, overall #41
- Caleb Williams (hamstring) ruled out vs. Jets
Go ahead and plug D'Andre Swift back into your lineups. The Bears running back carried no injury designation into the weekend after practicing in full on Friday, erasing the mild panic that his Thursday absence may have caused. He's set to play against the Jets.
That Thursday DNP was never about an injury. Head coach Ben Johnson explained it was simply the reality of a short week after Monday night's win over the Eagles — veteran backs get worn down, and Swift was still shaking off the effects of a Monday Night Football game. Johnson said he expected to work Swift out Friday and voiced optimism about Sunday. He got it.
Through three games this season, Swift has rushed for 253 yards and three touchdowns while chipping in eight catches for 68 yards. That's good for 56 PPR points on the year in 2026, and it slots him at RB15 (overall #41) in our current rankings. For a mid-round pick, the touchdown equity alone has made him a weekly starter.
The Caleb Williams Wrinkle
The bigger storyline for Chicago's offense is at quarterback. Caleb Williams (hamstring) has been ruled out, which matters for Swift's workload. Williams has been a rushing threat early — 107 rush yards and two rushing scores across two games (2026), adding to his 407 passing yards and two passing TDs for 47 PPR points. With him sidelined, the ground game runs through Swift even more.
That's not the only name off the field. Left tackle Braxton Jones (knee) is also out, a minor concern for Swift's run-blocking, while cornerback Cam Lewis (hip) is doubtful. Kyler Gordon (calf), Noah Sewell (Achilles) and Shemar Turner (knee) remain ruled out off their 21-day windows.
The fantasy call is simple: start Swift with confidence. No designation, a healthy practice week, and a backup quarterback under center only sharpens the case for feeding the lead back. If anything, his floor just got a little higher. Don't overthink this one.
