Eagles Injury Report Red Flags: Barkley and DeVonta Smith Sit Out
Saquon Barkley (hamstring) and DeVonta Smith (hamstring/toe) both logged DNPs among 24 banged-up Eagles. Jalen Hurts, meanwhile, was a full go.

Hamstring/toe DNP makes him a risky start until he practices.
- Barkley (hamstring) and Smith (hamstring/toe) both DNP
- 24 Eagles appeared on the injury report
- Hurts (calf) was a full participant
- Smith: 49 PPR pts in 3 games (2026)
- Marquise Brown (ankle) limited
The Eagles' injury report reads like a MASH unit this week, and two of the names at the very top will make fantasy managers wince. Running back Saquon Barkley (hamstring) and wide receiver DeVonta Smith (hamstring/toe) both sat out entirely, logging DNPs among a staggering 24 listed players for Philadelphia.
That's the kind of early-week signal you don't ignore. Smith has been quietly productive when healthy — 19 catches for 235 yards and a touchdown across three games in 2026, good for 49 PPR points and our #17 WR ranking. A hamstring-and-toe combo for a speed receiver is the worst possible mix, and a Wednesday DNP tells you he's behind schedule.
Barkley's hamstring is the bigger domino. He's the engine of this offense, and if he can't go, backup Will Shipley (foot) was also a DNP, which muddies the handcuff picture. Keep an eye on whether either back upgrades to limited later in the week.
The Supporting Cast Is Hurting Too
Wide receiver Marquise Brown (ankle) and Dontayvion Wicks (hamstring) were both on the report — Brown limited, Wicks limited. Wicks sits at WR42 in our rankings with 49 PPR points across five games this season (2026), so he's a thin dart throw even in a plus matchup. Tight end Grant Calcaterra (back), our TE37, was also limited; his 23 PPR points across 15 games last season (2025) tell you he's not a streaming priority regardless.
The one piece of genuine good news: quarterback Jalen Hurts (calf) practiced in full. Hurts has been excellent — 933 passing yards, eight touchdowns and zero picks through five games in 2026, plus 107 rushing yards and a score, totaling 86 PPR points. He's our QB17 and a lock to start. His calf isn't the concern; it's who he'll have to throw to.
The Fantasy Fallout
Don't drop anyone yet, but get your contingencies ready. If you own DeVonta Smith, have a Friday backup plan lined up — a hamstring DNP this early is a WATCH situation, not a confident start. Barkley managers should monitor the Thursday and Friday reports closely; if he's upgraded to limited, the panic eases. Hurts stays locked in. Everyone else in this receiving room is a desperation play until the practice status firms up.
