Pickens Questionable With Shoulder, Hamstring; Turpin Ruled Out for Dallas
George Pickens logged a third straight limited practice before Friday's questionable tag. KaVontae Turpin (ribs) is already out.

Still a WR2 even banged up until Dallas rules him out.
- Pickens questionable after 3rd straight limited practice
- Pickens: 37 rec, 485 yds, 2 TD, 98 PPR pts in 7 games
- Pickens up +2.4 fantasy pts over last 5 games
- Turpin (ribs) ruled out, didn't practice all week
- Schoonmaker (groin) also questionable
The Cowboys handed out a pile of injury designations Friday, and the one fantasy managers care about most is George Pickens. He's officially questionable heading into the weekend after grinding through a third consecutive limited practice, nursing both a shoulder and a hamstring issue. When a receiver's name shows up on the report with two problems, you pay attention.
Pickens has been Dallas' most dependable pass-catching piece this year. Through seven games in 2026 he's posted 37 catches for 485 yards and two scores, good for 98 PPR points — and he's actually trending up, averaging 2.4 fantasy points above his season mark over his last five games. In our rankings he sits at WR17 (#56 overall), squarely in weekly-starter territory.
The name that's already off the table is KaVontae Turpin, ruled out with a rib injury after not practicing all week. Turpin was never a fantasy fixture anyway — 15 PPR points on the season across his rushing and receiving work, parked at WR127 in our rankings — so his absence barely moves your lineup. Linebacker Dee Winters (calf) was also ruled out.
The Rest of the Report
Tight end Luke Schoonmaker (groin) joins the questionable group, though at TE91 and six PPR points on the year he's not on anyone's radar. Safety P.J. Locke (foot) and outside linebacker Marist Liufau (forearm) are also questionable on the defensive side. Rookie safety Caleb Downs returned to full participation Friday and is cleared, while defensive tackle Quinnen Williams practiced fully and carries no designation at all.
On the defensive line, Jonathan Bullard (calf) is questionable while he works through his 21-day return-to-practice window. None of that touches your fantasy decisions unless you're deep into IDP leagues.
The Fantasy Call
Don't overthink Pickens. A third limited practice is more maintenance than alarm, and the trajectory on his production says Dallas wants him on the field. Keep him in your lineup as a WR2 and simply confirm his status is cleared before kickoff — if he's a surprise inactive, you'll want a pivot ready. Turpin owners in deep leagues can safely cut bait; he's not worth a roster spot while banged up.
