Saquon Barkley questionable Monday as Eagles' WR room craters

Barkley returned to full practice Saturday, but DeVonta Smith and Dontayvion Wicks are both out — leaving Philly dangerously thin at receiver.

Saquon Barkley

Full practice Saturday; funnel offense makes him a must-start if active.

Key numbers
  • Barkley full practice Saturday after missing 2 games
  • DeVonta Smith (hamstring) ruled out Week 7
  • Dontayvion Wicks (ankle) ruled out
  • Smith had 69 PPR pts in 4 games this season
  • 5 healthy WRs left on Philly's 53-man roster

Saquon Barkley is trending back toward Philadelphia's lineup. He's listed as questionable for Monday night after bumping up to full practice participation Saturday, his first clean week since a hamstring injury cost him the last two games. For an offense suddenly gutted at wide receiver, that timing could not be more important.

Because the Eagles' pass-catching corps just got hollowed out. DeVonta Smith (hamstring) and Dontayvion Wicks (ankle) were both ruled out on the final Week 7 injury report, pulling two of Philly's top four wideouts off the field in one stroke. That leaves Makai Lemon, Darius Cooper, Hollywood Brown, Elijah Moore and Britain Covey as the only healthy receivers on the 53-man roster.

A Receiver Room Running On Fumes

Losing Smith hurts most. He ranks #61 overall and WR17 in our rankings, and he'd piled up 26 catches for 310 yards and two scores — 69 PPR points — across just four games this season (2026). Wicks adds another 53 PPR points (19-284-1 in six games) that vanish from the depth chart. That's a lot of target share evaporating against a defense that now knows exactly where to look.

The injury list runs deeper than the skill positions, too. Cornerback Michael Carter (abdomen) and linebacker Nolan Smith (concussion) are also out, while guard Landon Dickerson, corner Jakorian Bennett, tight ends Grant Calcaterra and Eli Stowers, and linebacker Jalyx Hunt all carry questionable tags. Dickerson, Bennett, Calcaterra and Stowers sit on injured reserve, so Philly needs roster moves just to activate them for Monday.

The Fantasy Fallout

If Barkley plays, start him without a second thought — a thinned-out receiver room points to an even heavier ground script, and he's the engine either way. Monitor the inactives list closely before kickoff, but a full practice Saturday is about as encouraging a signal as you'll get from a questionable tag.

On the receiver side, the only speculative dart worth throwing is Darius Cooper, who ranks #171 (WR60) but has quietly scored 46 PPR points with four touchdowns in six games this season (2026) and is trending +1.5 points above his average over his last five. Smith and Wicks managers simply have to eat the week. Everyone else should treat Philadelphia's backfield, not its wideouts, as the place to profit Monday night.
