Zay Flowers Re-Aggravates Hamstring, Questionable for Week 2
The Ravens' WR1, coming off a 243-PPR-point 2025 season, exited early with the same hamstring that cost him joint-practice reps.

Elite WR1 upside, but a recurring hamstring is a genuine week-to-week flag.
- Flowers: 86 rec, 1,211 yds, 5 TD in 2025 (17 games)
- 243 PPR points last season (2025), WR7 in our rank
- Last 5 games of 2025: +5.8 fantasy pts vs season avg
- Aggravated hamstring first hurt in Vikings joint practice
- Ravens also lost WR Ja'Kobi Lane to a wrist injury
Zay Flowers is questionable for Week 2 after aggravating the hamstring injury that first surfaced during joint practices against the Vikings, per a source. He returned briefly and caught one more pass, but exited in the first half and didn't come back — never a great sign for a soft-tissue issue.
This is the same hamstring that already cost him a couple of weeks of practice before he returned September 3. For a receiver who posted 86 catches, 1,211 yards and five touchdowns in 2025 across all 17 games — good for 243 PPR points and a WR7 finish in our rankings — any nagging leg issue is a headache for managers who spent a premium pick on him.
The frustrating part is the disconnect between the field and the podium. Flowers told reporters Thursday that he felt better than ever and was ready to go, citing the extended break after Baltimore's season ended early. That optimism aged about as well as a room-temperature Gatorade once he was limping off in the first half.
The Fantasy Fallout
Hamstrings are the injury you never trust in the moment. Even if Flowers plays, a receiver leaning on a compromised leg loses a chunk of the separation and yards-after-catch that made him a WR1 in the first place. His form was trending up too — his last five games of 2025 came in at +5.8 fantasy points above his season average — which is exactly the version of Flowers you don't want to risk further damage.
If he sits, the vultures are LaJohntay Wester and Chris Moore. Neither is exciting: Moore managed just 11 catches for 207 yards and one TD (39 PPR points) over 14 games in 2025, and Wester didn't register a single PPR point across 17 games. The Ravens also lost Ja'Kobi Lane to a wrist injury, thinning the room further, so target share could concentrate on whoever's healthy.
Bottom line: hold Flowers if you rostered him — you're not dropping a top-10 receiver over one bad first half. But monitor his practice reps all week and have a contingency plan ready. If you need a desperation dart in deep leagues, Moore is the only Baltimore pass-catcher with any track record worth a flier, and even that's a thin one.
